1. Colorado: less flat than Nebraska! This is exciting, although reportedly it gets pretty boring after the mountains. Still. It is non-terrible here!

2. Apparently, Chuck Bass makes out with a guy on the next season of Gossip Girl! There's also a reference to a "catch," which I am madly hoping means Chuck/Blair/Random Guy threesome. Less awesome than if Serena and Blair were to make out, but still. Pretty damn awesome. (Less awesome: the EW commenters. Homophobia galore.)

3. In related news, less than three weeks until the next season starts!

4. I have written TARDIS!porn. I am not sure whether to be proud or ashamed.

5. I've been out of touch with actual news for a bit, but a belated way to go, ELCA. Keep on with the awesome!

So. Because I thought driving three thousand miles to get back to school would be a good idea, I'm in the middle of the United States right now. I've spent my entire life either on the east coast or in California, so it's a bit of a culture shock. Mostly with the flat. And the giant signs for fast food places, although I hear those go away when you get farther from the freeway Interstate. And people don't seem to be honking their horns much, which is a bit strange.

Anyways, I don't have cable most of my life (my parents thought it rotted the brain, and in college - hah! You think I'm going to pay for that?), so one of the exciting things about road trips is the ability to watch television on an actual television set. Of course it's Saturday night in the summer so nothing at all is actually on, but still. It's shiny.

I have a rough to-do list, which is basically
1) relearn those things I should know (All that math stuff? Gone!)
2) maybe write some fanfic at some point
3) sleep!

Not on that list: get a new fandom. But, well, the local CW affiliate was showing Legend of the Seeker. And. Um.

In other words: I am trying very hard to not find this addicting and amazing. I am not sure that my willpower can hold out.

Oh God, I haven't had a livejournal in so long...

The incident that finally forced me to make a new journal:
*watching Merlin 1x10 The Moment of Truth with my dad*
Me: Blah blah blah, ooohh, Arthur and Gwen are interacting!  Finally!
My (straight) dad:  Oh, really?  I thought Arthur and Merlin were going to be the main couple of the show.
Me:  O.O

He swears that he meant to say Morgana, not Merlin, but eh.  Freudian slip or not, awesome is awesome.  XD
